I am going to try to blog more!!!

Hi Everyone,

I doubt many of you will read this as you have probably given up looking at my blog..seems like these days after working, taking care of the kiddo, making dinner, feeding Levi, giving him a bath, bottle, putting him down, cleaning up the dishes, packing lunches for the next day.... the only thing i want to do is jump in bed and shut my eyes....Blogging has DEFINITELY been on the back burner! But I have been checking all your blogs frequently, my dear friends! And you all have inspired me to get a writin'!

I have done a few things this past month that I am rather proud of!

1) I have started cloth diapering :)    (okay i still use disposables here and there but for the most part I am rocking the cloth)  I really really love it! It is a bit pricey to get started but I love the fact that I have not bought disposable diapers for about a month! Also, there is SOO much less garbage. I will tell you all about my cloth diapering adventures on another post.

2) I have made some of my own baby food  (carrots, peaches and peas). Talk about domestic ;)

3) I went on a tandem bike with my hubby for the first time last weekend! It was scary as can be to have NO control, but really fun :) A very good trusting exercise!

4) I learned to make authentic Mexican mole and green salsa.. YUMMY

5) Levi has learned to roll over! He also gives me his own form of kisses by trying to suck on my face ;) what a cutie!

I am not going to promise pictures very often, but I will try to at least check in once a week.. That is it for now folks! Have a wonderful day :)

Sorry it has been SO long!!

Hi Everyone :)

Sorry it has been so long! I have not had the time to sit down and write a posting. Usually when Levi sleeps I try to take advantage of that time and sleep too, cook, do laundry..etc. Then, when he is awake, he is eating, we are playing, or changing diapers..not much time for blogging in there.. But I do appreciate it that some of you have been still checking to see if I am writing. I honestly doubt that I will be writing many more postings in these next weeks. But I have been working hard on my project life book and once I get some time I will post those photos. For now, I am just posting some photos on facebook (i can do it right from my phone while breastfeeding..woo!)

Hope you are all well!! I will try to be better about checking all of your blogs too! Miss hearing about all of your adventures.

A few fun pictures of my precious little guy..

DIY Pom-Poms

I am so excited about this project because it didn't cost me a dime, it was not difficult, I was able to re-use old tissue paper, and it turned out so cute! I have always loved hanging pom-poms and have seen them in decorating magazines more and more these days. If you don't know what I am talking about, see below.

So, when I came upon this awesome post in pinterest (http://kellyhicksdesign.com/)  that showed how to make them I was thrilled! I had a ton of tissue paper from my baby shower that I knew I would never be able to use all of so I pulled it out of the cubbard and gave it a try. I am going to show you step by step of how I did it as I think I added some good ideas.

For medium pom poms fold about 6 pieces of tissue paper in half like so.

In order to keep all of the sheets together while I folded it in an accordian style I used paperclips on both sides.

I folded the tissue paper accordian style.

I used a thin piece of ribbon to tie the middle of the accordianed tissue paper stack.

I rounded both edges but cutting them (You may have to cut in several layers as they are a little think)

Fan open each side and start separating out the layes. Pull aggresively, but be careful not to rip the paper.

Play with it a little bit to make sure it looks even and round all over.

I used a paperclip hooked to the ribbon in order to be able to hang it up :)

Done! Wasn't that fun?

I am going to make a bunch more of these to hang in Levi's room :) I will post pictures when I finish that project.

Have a nice day folks!

Hi All!

I have been LOVING my Project Life book! Here are some pictures of pages I have done since I posted about it last time. (I apologize for not the best pictures, I am still learning how to take them while in their plastic covers)

These are all pictures from my baby shower :)

This below page is my "countdown until Levi comes" I try to write something positive about each day. Helps me not get so frustrated about waiting around... (I have completely quite a few more since I made this post. Today is day 12...
